💡 Did You Know…?
The coastal tower was built in 1569 by order of Pietro di Toledo, Viceroy of Naples, as part of the defensive system against Turkish pirates. Today it’s privately owned but remains a symbol of the place. The surrounding dunes host protected plant species like sea lilies, while the waters are populated by amberjacks and groupers, attracting divers from across Puglia.
