Santa Maria di Corazzo Abbey: The Monastery of Joachim of Fiore

Leave behind the paved roads of Carlopoli and follow the path that leads into the Sila Piccola. Among oaks and chestnut trees, the walls of the Abbey of Santa Maria di Corazzo emerge. It is not a perfect place; in fact, it is a ruin, but the stones tell centuries of history. The atmosphere is suspended, almost mystical.
