Tancredi Returns to the Costanzi, Rossini's Masterpiece
From May 19 to 29, 2026 the Rome Opera House brings Tancredi back to the stage of the Costanzi in a new production dedicated to the work of Gioachino Rossini.

The opera, based on a libretto by Gaetano Rossi and inspired by Voltaire’s tragedy, tells the story of the exiled hero and his bond with Amenaide, through misunderstandings, conflicts and final reconciliations.

The production is directed by Emma Dante, with sets by Carmine Maringola and a cast including Carlo Vistoli, Hasmik Torosyan, Enea Scala and Luca Tittoto. Times vary by date, so it’s advisable to check the official calendar before purchasing.
