On June 2, 2026, Carpineto della Nora becomes the starting point for a day dedicated to the horse transhumance at Voltigno, an experience that traverses high-altitude pastures and recalls Abruzzo’s pastoral heritage.

The program includes assembly at 8:00 AM, arrival of the transhumants with a savory breakfast at 8:30 AM, departure of the walk at 9:00 AM, and to conclude, lunch with the shepherds at 12:30 PM. The initiative offers direct contact with the rhythms of the mountain and the customs linked to alpine life.
