Futurama at MAN in Nuoro: 20th-Century Art Tells the Nostalgia for the Future

The prestigious MAN – Art Museum of the Province of Nuoro – presents Futurama. Nostalgia for the Future, the eagerly awaited exhibition curated by Chiara Gatti and Elisabetta Masala, in collaboration with Storyville.

Open to visitors from July 4 to November 15, 2026, the exhibition closes the renowned museum trilogy on the forms of perception and the human imagination. The journey explores the idea of the future born in the twentieth century, crossing the enthusiasm of the Space Age, the hopes of the post-war era, and the pioneering visions of modern art.

The museum’s rooms display memorable works by true masters such as Lucio Fontana, Giulio Turcato, Mario Schifano, Enrico Baj, Valerio Adami, Gianni Colombo, and Piero Gilardi. The collection harmoniously dialogues with iconic period design objects, historic fashion creations, and testimonies of popular culture from the 1950s and 1960s.

An unmissable event for enthusiasts of contemporary art and costume history in the capital of Barbagia.
