The city of Montevarchi relives its medieval past with the traditional Feast of Forgiveness and the exciting Game of the Well, a signature event that involves the entire Valdarno community.
The historic center is transformed into a 14th-century village with historical encampments, ancient artisan workshops, falconry displays, drummers, and spectacular flag-wavers. The competitions among the districts culminate in the awarding of the historic Mezzina trophy to the triumphant banner.
Completing the festival are art exhibitions, concerts, craft markets, and activities designed for visitors of all ages.
