The Marriage of Figaro at the Rome Opera: Mozart's Masterpiece Staged by Claus Guth
The prestigious stage of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma hosts until 23 September 2026 one of the most celebrated creations in the world operatic repertoire: Le nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with the celebrated libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte.

The extraordinary production, with visionary direction by Claus Guth and originally created for the Salzburg Festival, arrives in Italy for the first time, offering audiences a fresh perspective on the drama. The bourgeois stage space designed by Christian Schmidt gradually transforms into a dense symbolic forest, mirroring the protagonists’ inner tensions, passions and relationship dynamics.

Musical direction is entrusted to the sensitivity of the young conductor Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, winner of the 2025 Abbiati Prize. An evening of great music in the heart of the Capital.
