💡 Did You Know…?
Did you know that Teatro dell’Aquila possesses one of the few original historic curtains still functioning in Italy? Created in 1830 by Luigi Fontana, it depicts Emperor Frederick II’s entry into Fermo in 1240. During restoration work in 1997, ancient hydraulic conduits were discovered beneath the auditorium floor that were used to create special effects during performances. The theater hosted the world premieres of works by famous composers such as Gaspare Spontini, a native of Fermo province.
