SHE in Parma: Masterpieces of Female Portraiture from Van Gogh to Modigliani

The prestigious halls of the Palazzo del Governatore in Parma host the highly anticipated exhibition LEI. Portraits of Women, from Van Gogh to Modigliani and Beyond, a monumental artistic journey dedicated to the representation of women between the late 19th and early 20th century.

The exhibition, open to the public from 2 October 2026 to 8 March 2027, brings together masterpieces of extraordinary value from major European museums and private collections. The itinerary allows visitors to admire celebrated canvases by masters such as Vincent van Gogh, Amedeo Modigliani, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Giovanni Boldini and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

Through intimate portraits, magnetic gazes and elegant period figures, the exhibition explores the transformation of the female role, fashion and modern sensibility in Western art.

A cultural event of international significance in the heart of the Emilian ducal capital.
