Liberevento 2026: the literary festival in southern Sardinia

The 15th edition of Liberevento, one of Sardinia’s most important literary festivals, returns. From June 26 to August 26, thirteen towns in the southern part of the island will host a rich series of literary meetings and cultural insights.

This year’s theme, ‘Contemporary Chiaroscuro’, explores the challenges of our era, between technological innovations, social changes, and growing uncertainties. Book presentations and debates will take place in unique historical and archaeological settings such as the Temple of Antas in Fluminimaggiore, the Tonnara Su Pranu in Portoscuso, and the Tower of Calasetta. Notable guests include Cathy La Torre, Federico Buffa, Alessandro Orsini, Serena Bortone, and Carlo Lucarelli.
