An exciting journey back in time begins at the Norman-Swabian Castle in Sannicandro di Bari to explore the deep karst incisions and natural karst valleys of the area.
Led by a qualified speleological guide, participants discover ancient water collection cisterns, the historic rock settlements known as i Grutt, and surprising geological evidence with prehistoric fossil footprints. The nature itinerary ends with an open-air picnic dedicated to the authentic flavors of Daunia and Murgia, featuring homemade bread and prized extra virgin olive oil.
