Within the magnificent wooded setting of the Tuscan-Romagnan Apennines, the community of Verghereto celebrates the king of the autumn season with the traditional Chestnut Festival.
Parco del Casone and the historic center welcome visitors with a rich gastronomic offering: crispy roasted chestnuts cooked over embers, castagnaccio, typical chestnut-based sweets, and traditional mountain-cuisine recipes. Alongside tastings, the event features local craft markets, live music, and evocative trails through monumental chestnut groves.
