A new series of guided itineraries reveals the secrets hidden beneath Massa Marittima, a historic pearl of the Grosseto Maremma. The project offers a fascinating exploration of natural cavities, historic waterworks, and mineralogical treasures shaped by the earth.
Through specially designed routes led by geologists and speleologists, visitors can explore the historic tunnels of the Fonti dell’Abbondanza, admire rare collections of minerals extracted from the Colline Metallifere, and walk along the rocky geosites of the Tane della Camilletta. A valuable opportunity to experience first-hand the geological evolution and centuries-old mining identity of southern Tuscany.
