The charming village of Cannara, in the heart of the Umbrian valley, is preparing to celebrate the forty-fourth edition of the renowned Onion Festival, one of the most eagerly awaited food and wine events in the region.
The event takes place from September 1 to 13, 2026, and centers on the renowned local vegetable, recognized and appreciated for its unmistakable sweetness. During the evenings of the event, the characteristic neighborhood taverns of the town open their doors to offer rich themed menus: from traditional onion soup to freshly hand-made pasta, along with delicious meat dishes and original desserts.
The historic center also comes alive with local craft markets, stalls selling typical Umbrian products, live music concerts and folk performances designed to delight visitors of all ages.
